How Can You Forget The Past?

I think that what is behind me has been a teaching tool to becoming better and more expressive of what I have become.  Am I there yet?  I’m still here, so that means I still am learning and doing my part to be aware of the lessons for the day.   So many people want to forget the past because of mistakes, loss and embarrassing situations.

That’s not what forgetting the past mean. If you are allowing the past to be a good teacher of bringing  you through those things from the highs to the lows of the past in your life.  The past will be a good teacher, if we will approach it as a good student, from the perspective of what we can gain and how God can use it in your life to those around us.

We need to look at our past individually and as a country to make better decisions and apply effective approach to our future.

I decide to bring home in my mind of having peace in my thoughts to guard my mind from what may have been a negative experience in the past and keep the anxiety down and move forward with some great results of knowing what I have gone through and pursuing the future by letting go of what holds me back.

We  all have gone through hard times and some choose to learn and some choose to forget and  continue on the same way as before.  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3: 13.  This is telling me to put aside my achievements and  awards along with the negative experiences that hold me back in this life so I can reach the real purpose and prize I want to strive and achieve.  What is your personal goal to win?

Enjoy, Lisa
